The Lyme High School Trap Team had another successful year with ten student athletes participating. Practices started in April and finished with the State Shoot off on June 6 th . The interesting north country weather seemed to be a significant factor for all this year. The athletes were up against snowstorms in April and torrential downpours during the finals at the State grounds in Bridgeport but never faltered. Each shooter did well and their combined goal to improve as a team, as the season progressed, was easily and enthusiastically met. Safety and gun respect was paramount in the instructions given by the five coaches that were with the Athletes throughout the entire season. Of the 10 shooters on the team, five chose to participate in the State Shoot off and represented the school and community well. The team is very thankful for the support from the Lyme Community Foundation for graciously providing all shooters with specially designed team shirts that made them stand out as a team at the State shoot off.
