The Copley Haunted House event will live again in October 25-27, 2018, with an infusion of fresh blood of local volunteers to help dream up the themes, build the sets, and carry out the scares.
Characters and scenes from Poltergeist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Carrie, Halloween, Stephen King's "It", and Friday the 13th will fill our guests with dread for the decade that introduced many of us to the horror film genre. Rooms in the house will present scares from such films or from other 80's related inspiration.
Shows start at 6pm on the evening of October 25th, 26th and
27th. The last tours will go through at 11pm. A matinee will be offered the afternoon of Saturday the 27th.
Last fall, hundreds of thrill-seekers survived a visit to The Copley Asylum, which also ran for three nights and a Saturday matinee. From an initially skeletal volunteer staff, the incredible turnout of volunteers, especially student volunteers, has made a monstrous task much more bite-sized for each team of scarers.
So don't be afraid. Come to the Copley and dare to be scared! Check out our Facebook page to learn more or ask questions about the event. $20 per ticket and all proceeds benefit the Lyme Community Foundation.
