Here is a photo of the first Pickleball Court. It is striped, with a net in place. The windscreen for that court is also now in place.
There is still other work to do on the other courts, but we’ve come a long way in just 10 days’ time, from when Shawn Granger and crew fist arrive, to where we are now.
Thanks to everyone for all of the support and work the volunteers provided.

The Third Annual Billy Patterson Guiding Lights Gala took place July 11th at the Copley House. The Gala is the Lyme Community Foundation’s major fundraising event to benefit the Lyme Community.
The Guiding Lights Gala is done in remembrance of Billy Patterson. Approximately seventy-five people attended to celebrate and recognize an individual who embodied the spirit of giving. Billy’s life was an unwavering commitment to supporting and improving his community without need of recognition. Billy Patterson exemplifies the LCF mission to enhance and support the community through cooperation, learning, and enrichment. We honor you Billy and all those like-minded individuals in the community who are willing to lend a helpful and compassionate hand offering support to those in need. The LCF extends a special thank you to the Patterson family for sharing Billy’s memory. |

The Lyme COMMUNITY CENTER IS THE HUB OF the communityDo you wish there was a way to connect with people with your interests? We would love for you to start a group at the Lyme Community Center. Whether it’s for young mothers, newcomers, or college age kids who don’t know anyone in the area, we have the place for you to meet – and it’s for free!
Contact Beth [email protected] to get more details about ongoing programs or with ideas to start a new group. |
Are you seeking a new purpose? You can provide a caregiver with a break by becoming a respite volunteer. You will receive 20 hours of training then a small stipend and mileage reimbursement for those who qualify. Renee Williams, the volunteer coordinator for AmeriCorps Seniors, is looking for both volunteers as well as caregivers who need a break. If there is enough interest, we could volunteer as a group one afternoon a week at the Lyme Community Center. Please contact Renee at (585)645-8973 or [email protected] for more information.
