DONATE
Ways to Donate to the Lyme Community Foundation
Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash are the most popular type of charitable gift and can be used immediately by the Lyme Community Foundation. Checks should be made payable to "Lyme Community Foundation." Payment through the paypal “Donate” button above is also a convenient way to donate.
Matching Gifts
If your employer has a matching gifts program and the Lyme Community Foundation qualifies as a valid matching gift recipient, your gift to the Lyme Community Foundation could be doubled or tripled. Matching gift forms are generally available through your employer's human resources department.
Memorial Gifts
Remember or honor a deceased loved one with a memorial gift. Request upon your death and encourage family and friends to leave gifts to the Lyme Community Foundation in lieu of flowers in your obituary.
Planned Giving
A planned or deferred gift is one that is arranged during one's lifetime, but the benefit to the Lyme Community Foundation is deferred to a future date. Bequests and gifts of life insurance policies are ways to support the Lyme Community Foundation through planned giving.
Bequests
A bequest is a very simple way to provide a planned gift to the Lyme Community Foundation and often allows donors to make significant contributions that may not have been possible during their lifetimes. To provide for the Lyme Community Foundation in your will, the following wording is suggested:
I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the Lyme Community Foundation,
a nonprofit corporation organized and operating under New York State,
the sum of $_________ to be used for the Foundation's general purposes.
If you have an interest in establishing a fund for a specific purpose, please contact the Lyme Community Foundation for guidance. LCF is a member of the Leave a Legacy Program. Contact us by email at lymecommunityfoundation@gmail.org
Life Insurance Policies
You may designate the Lyme Community Foundation as the owner/beneficiary of a life insurance policy. You may transfer actual ownership of an existing policy to the LCF or purchase a new policy for the LCF's benefit.
